Day 1 Day 1 – Depart U.S.A
Leave the US.
Day 2 Day 2 – Arrive in Rome
Upon arrival transfer to the city center to visit St Mary Major, Celebrate Mass, and then Saint John Lateran. Then visit the Holy Stairs, prior to dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Day 3 – Rome
After breakfast, meet your local guide for a panoramic tour of lmperial Rome followed by time at leisure in the area of Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.
Day 4 Day 4 – Rome - Papal Audience
Very early morning transfer to San Peter ‘s square, to attend the ceremony of Papal Audience and Blessing. After break for lunch, drive along the Ancient Appian way to visit the Catacombs. Celebrate Mass. Return to hotel for a couple of hours rest, before dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Day 5 – Rome
Spend the morning visiting the Vatican Museums. Walk through the Galleries to reach the Apostolic Palace, the oldest section of the complex of the Vatican Palaces. See the Apartments of Julius II, and the Sistine Chapel, the Royal Stairway, the Basilica of St. Peter, ending at St Peter’s Square. After lunch continue to St Mary Major to Celebrate Mass, then to Saint John Lateran and the Holy Stairs. This evening enjoy a special dinner in an authentic Italian trattoria.
Day 6 Day 6 – Rome - Capri - Sorrento
After breakfast, we drive south to Naples and embark a hydrofoil jet and sail to Capri. Local guide will introduce us to this historical places. Weather permitting, enjoy a visit of the Blue Grotto by rowing boats. After lunch enjoy a tour to Anacapri before a hydrofoil ride to Sorrento.
Day 7 Day 7 – Amalfi Coast
Meet local guide and visit the complex of St. Andrew’s Cathedral, built in the IX century. Celebrate Mass. Continue to the village of Positano. Tonight dinner will be accompanied by the Tarantella (typical dance from this area) show! Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 8 Day 8 – Sorrento , Montecassino, Assisi
Depart Sorrento for Montecassino to visit the historical abbey and celebrate mass. Break for lunch and continue to Assisi for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 Day 9 – Assisi
Morning guided tour of the birthplace of the beloved St. Francis! Visit the Church of Santa Chiara at the site where St. Francis was born, and then see the house where he spent his childhood. Visit the Basilica of St. Francis built above the inspiring final resting place of the saint. Within the Basilica’s rose garden is The Rose Chapel (Cappella de lie Rose) built over the place where Francis lived in his later years. Celebrate Mass. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 10 Day 10 – Assisi - Siena - San Gimignano
This morning we’ll explore Siena, birthplace of St. Catherine, patron saint of Italy and of Europe. Tour the city’s major treasures, including the fabulous marble Gothic Duomo Cathedral, the Piazza del Campo-town square - and the Torre del Mangia, famous for hosting the Palio horse races twice a year. Celebrate Mass in San Domenico. On to the farm estate of Castel di Pugna for wine-tasting and lunch. In the afternoon travel to the San Gimignano.
Day 11 Day 11 –San Gimignano - Florence - San Gimignano
Depart to Florence. See the Baptistry of St. John, the Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Basilica of Santa Croce. After lunch visit Ponte Vecchio. Celebrate Mass. Return San Gimignano for dinner and overnight.
Day 12 Day 12 – San Gimignano - Pisa - Padova
Continue to Pisa with time to wander about the square and photograph the Tower. Dinner and overnight in Padova.
Day 13 Day 13 – Padova - Ville Venete - Padova
After break for lunch, we drive a short distance to visit St. Anthony’s basilica and celebrate mass. Take the “Ville Venete” tour where Over 4,300 mansions were built in Veneto and Friuli. We will visit Villa Pisani, The “queen” of the Venetian Villas and a national museum. We return to Padova, for dinner and overnight.
Day 14 Day 14 – Venice
Full Day in Venice. A vaporetto ride will give us the best city view. Walking tour includes Piazza San Marco, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs. After lunch, take a “Gondola ride” and celebrate Mass. Dinner and Overnight in Padova.
Day 15 Day 15 – Return to USA
