Daily Itinerary

Day 1 September 11 – Departure

Depart the United States on your international overnight flight.

Day 2 September 12 – Arrive in Barcelona, Spain

Upon arrival in Barcelona, transfer to the port to board the Celebrity Equinox and begin your Mediterranean voyage.

 

Day 3 September 13 – At Sea

Enjoy a full day at sea to relax, explore the ship’s amenities, and prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 4 September 14 – Valletta, Malta

Embark on a narrated tour of Valletta, Malta’s capital, renowned for its medieval charm and grand architecture. Visit St. John’s Co-Cathedral, a baroque masterpiece commissioned in 1572 by Grand Master Jean de la Cassière for the Knights of St. John. Continue to Casa Rocca Piccola, a noble residence offering a glimpse into 400 years of Maltese aristocratic life. Enjoy some free time to explore the city before visiting the Mediterranean Conference Center, originally built as a hospital by the Order of St. John and once considered one of the finest in Europe.

Day 5 September 15 – At Sea

Take advantage of another relaxing day at sea, enjoying fellowship, rest, and beautiful ocean views.

Day 6 September 16 – Athens and Corinth, Greece

Begin your day with a visit to the architectural splendor of ancient Athens. Explore the Acropolis, the Propylaea, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheum. Stand on Mars Hill, where the Apostle Paul preached, saying, “I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.” View the House of Parliament, the Presidential Palace, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of Corinth, where Paul met Aquila and Priscilla and received a vision from the Lord. Discover the Archaeological Museum, the Marketplace, and the Temples. Stand at the Bema, where Paul stood before Gallio. Corinth is where many were believed and baptized, establishing the early church to whom Paul later wrote his epistles.

Day 7 September 17 – Kusadasi, Türkiye

Explore Ephesus, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation and a former major port city with a population of 250,000. View the Grand Agora, the Library, and the beautifully preserved Terrace Houses, also known as “the houses of the rich.” Visit the Ephesus Experience Museum for a virtual journey through first-century life. See the remains of the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Conclude your day with a traditional Turkish lunch and cultural presentation at a local carpet factory.

Day 8 September 18 – Santorini, Greece (on own)

Dock in Santorini, one of the most picturesque Greek islands, where whitewashed villages topped with blue domes cling to volcanic cliffs above the Aegean Sea. The island sits on the edge of a caldera formed by a massive volcanic eruption 3,500 years ago, believed to have contributed to the collapse of the Minoan civilization. Day 9 September 19 – Mykonos, Greece (on own)

Arrive at the enchanting island of Mykonos, known for its iconic windmills, whitewashed buildings, and vibrant charm. Enjoy free time or join an optional shore excursion available for purchase through Celebrity.

Day 10 September 20 – Olympia, Greece (on own)

This Ionian port is your gateway to ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Discover well-preserved monuments dating back to 776 BC, including the ancient stadium and gymnasium. Visit the archaeological museum to view remarkable Greek sculptures and artifacts. Shore excursions are not included today and can be purchased directly from Celebrity.

Day 11 September 21 – At Sea

Enjoy a peaceful day at sea, perfect for reflection, fellowship, and enjoying the ship’s many amenities.

Day 12 September 22 – Rome, Italy

Disembark the Celebrity Equinox and step into the living history of Rome. Visit the Colosseum and the Pantheon, and take in sweeping views of the Roman Forum from the Capitoline Hill. See the Circus Maximus, the Arch of Titus, the Baths of Caracalla, and the Arch of Constantine. You will also see the Victor Emmanuel Monument and the Monti region, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. Near the Forum, visit the Mamertine Prison, traditionally believed to be where St. Peter was held before his martyrdom. Conclude your day at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, where the Apostle Paul is believed to be buried.

Day 13 September 23 – Return Home

Today, you return home, enriched by unforgettable experiences and inspired by walking in the footsteps of early Christianity.
