Like many ports in this part of the world, archaeological ruins dating back to antiquity are found everywhere. The island is also home to hundreds of gorges and over 1,500 land and sea caves, including Elefantos, noted for its striking white and red stalactites. Over the centuries, Chania was conquered by the Romans, the Byzantines, the Venetians, and the Turks. The city remains laced with Ottoman architecture and historic Venetian mansions, many of which have been transformed into charming shops, inviting cafés, and boutique hotels.
Shore excursions are not included today and can be purchased directly from Celebrity.

Experience the authentic charm of Rhodes on foot. Begin your walking tour in the picturesque Old Town, exploring Agora and Collachium, where the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem once lived and worked. Marvel at historic churches, the Jewish Quarter, the Inns of the Knights, and the Palace of the Grand Masters. Tour the palace interior and stroll down the Street of the Knights, paved with marble and decorated with intricate mosaics. This walk through Rhodes will leave a lasting impression.
Day 6 October 27 – Kusadasi, Turkey
Visit Ephesus, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation and once a thriving port city with a population of 250,000. Explore its colonnaded streets, the Grand Agora, and the Library. Step into the past at the Ephesus Experience Museum for an immersive view of life in Paul’s time. See the Terrace Houses, also known as “the houses of the rich,” for a glimpse into ancient lifestyles. Visit the remains of the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Conclude the visit with a local lunch and cultural presentation at a carpet factory.

Day 10 October 31 – Thessaloniki, Greece
Explore Thessaloniki, the “Queen of the North,” where Paul was once accused of turning the world upside down (Acts 17:3–6). Named after Alexander the Great’s sister, the city flourished during the Byzantine era. Visit the Basilica of St. Demetrios, the Roman Agora, and the Arch of Galerius.
