Depart the USA

Arrive at Lisbon Airport. After checking through immigration and customs, we will be welcomed by our escort and bus driver. We will have a panoramic city tour including St. Geronimo’s Monastery (from outside) and the Belem Tower. Break for lunch, then continue to the old part of the city to visit the Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua. Celebrate Mass. Continue to Fatima. Check in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight (B, D).

We spend the day in Fatima. We visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Basilica, and the tombs of Francisco, Jacinta, and Sr. Lucia. We also visit the Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In Aljustrel and Valinhos, we see the two homes of the little shepherds and the site of the first and third visits of the “Angel of Peace.” We stop at the Parish Church and the cemetery where Francisco and Jacinta were once buried. Celebrate Mass. After dinner, we join the nightly candlelight procession (B, D).

Depart Fatima in the morning on a short drive to Santarem to visit the Eucharistic Miracle church. If possible, we celebrate Mass. Then we return to Fatima for leisure time. Overnight in Fatima (B, D).

Depart from Fatima toward the north on a scenic drive to Santiago de Compostela. Upon arrival, we visit the tomb of St. James, located in the 11th-century Romanesque Cathedral. We also walk through the beautiful Old Town with its plazas. Celebrate Mass. Overnight in Santiago (B, D).

Depart in the morning to Burgos. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of Burgos, a masterpiece of Spanish Gothic architecture. Celebrate Mass. Check in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight (B, D).

Depart Burgos and drive toward Lourdes. En route, stop in Loyola to visit the birthplace of St. Ignatius and the Shrine. Celebrate Mass. Continue to Lourdes. After dinner, participate in the nightly rosary and candlelight procession. Overnight in Lourdes (B, D).

Spend the day in Lourdes visiting the spiritual and historical sites associated with Bernadette. Visit the Grotto of the Apparitions, the Basilica of St. Pius X, Boly Mill, the Soubirous home, the Basilica of the Rosary, the miraculous spring, and the healing baths. Celebrate Mass. Join the nightly rosary and candlelight procession after dinner (B, D).

Depart early for a five-hour journey to Andorra la Vella. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure, enjoying shopping. Dinner and overnight (B, D).

Check out and depart for Zaragoza. En route, stop in Montserrat to visit the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat and celebrate Mass. Continue to Zaragoza. Check in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight (B, D).

After breakfast, visit the Basilica del Pilar, then celebrate Mass. Drive to Barcelona in the late morning. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy leisure time. Dinner and overnight (B, D).

Enjoy a full-day guided city tour including the Sagrada Familia (inside), Paseo de Gracia, Plaza Catalunya, Montjuic, and the Gothic Quarter with Barcelona’s Cathedral. Celebrate Mass. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight (B, D).
