Daily Itinerary

Day 1 Saturday, Nov. 7 – Depart for Japan

Depart on your international flight to Japan and begin a journey of cultural discovery.

Day 2 Sunday, Nov. 8 – Arrival in Tokyo

Arrive in Tokyo, where tradition meets innovation. Meet your guide and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy dinner and rest. Overnight in Tokyo.

Day 3 Monday, Nov. 9 – Tokyo

Visit Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo’s oldest temple. Take in panoramic city views from the Tokyo Skytree, followed by a stroll through the serene Imperial Palace East Garden. Experience digital art at teamLab Borderless and stop at Shibuya Crossing before returning to the hotel. Overnight in Tokyo.

Day 4 Tuesday, Nov. 10 – Mount Fuji, Lake Ashi, and Hakone

Travel to the Hakone region. Visit Oshino Hakkai, a scenic village with spring-fed ponds reflecting Mount Fuji. Cruise Lake Ashi and ride the Hakone Ropeway for sweeping views of the volcanic landscape. Overnight in Tokyo.

Day 5 Wednesday, Nov. 11 – Bullet Train to Kanazawa

Depart Tokyo on the Kagayaki Express bullet train to Kanazawa. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Kanazawa.

Day 6 Thursday, Nov. 12 – Samurai Traditions and Garden Beauty

Explore Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden. Visit the Nishi Chaya geisha district and the preserved Nomura Samurai House. Walk through the historic Nagamachi District. Overnight in Kanazawa.

Day 7 Friday, Nov. 13 – Mountain Villages and Takayama

Discover the UNESCO-listed villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, known for traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses. Continue to Takayama and visit Takayama Jinya. Return to Kanazawa. Overnight in Kanazawa.

Day 8 Saturday, Nov. 14 – Kyoto

Travel by Limited Express Thunderbird to Kyoto. Visit Sanjusangendo Temple, home to 1,001 statues of Kannon. Walk through the iconic torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine. Overnight in Kyoto.

Day 9 Sunday, Nov. 15 – Cultural Elegance and Tranquility

Participate in a Japanese tea ceremony and kimono experience. Visit Kyoto Imperial Palace, Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), and the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Overnight in Kyoto.

Day 10 Monday, Nov. 16 – Nara and Osaka’s Historic Legacy

Travel to Nara to see the Great Buddha at Todai-ji and explore Nara Deer Park. Continue to Osaka to visit Osaka Castle and the Umeda Sky Building’s Floating Garden Observatory. Overnight in Osaka.

Day 11 Tuesday, Nov. 17 – Hiroshima and Miyajima Island

Take the Shinkansen to Hiroshima and visit Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome. Ferry to Miyajima Island to see the floating torii of Itsukushima Shrine. Return to Osaka. Overnight in Osaka.

Day 12 Wednesday, Nov. 18 – Return to Tokyo and Departure

Transfer to Tokyo by train for your return flight home, bringing with you lasting memories of Japan’s beauty, culture, and spirit.
