Upon arrival, we will visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montserrat, the spiritual heart of Catalonia and home to a dramatically set Benedictine monastery. For 700 years, this Marian shrine has attracted thousands of pilgrims worldwide. We pause here to visit the Black Madonna of Montserrat, probably Spain’s most fervent devotion to the Blessed Mother- Break for lunch. Continue our journey to Manresa, where we will visit the cave of St Ignatius. Saint Ignatius of Loyola stopped here in 1522 on his way back from Montserrat. While there, he found solitude in this cave for a year, and sketched the fundamentals of his book The Spiritual Exercises. Our final destination for Today is Andorra la Vella, where we will spend the night.
