Daily Itinerary

Day 1 May 1, 2024 - Depart New York

Depart on flight to Cairo.

Day 2 May 2, 2024 - Arrive Cairo

Arrive in Cairo where we will be welcomed by our tour guide and bus driver. Transfer to hotel.

Day 3 May 3, 2024 - Visit Old Cairo and Churches

This morning, we visit the Citadel overlooking the city of Cairo. In Old Cairo, we visit the hanging Church, Abu Serga Church and the Church of Our Lady of Zeitoun where the Blessed Mother appeared to thousands of people. This evening, we will enjoy dinner on the Nile River Cruise with entertainment. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 May 4, 2024 - Egyptian Museum, The Pyramids and the Sphinx

Today, we will visit the Egyptian Museum to admire the treasures of King Tutankhamen. Visit the Hanging Churches, the Coptic Museum and Abu Serga Church built over the cave which provided refuge for the Holy Family. We will also stop at the great Pyramids of Giza and the amazing Sphinx.

Day 5 May 5, 2024 - Cairo, Sharm El Sheikh

This morning, we will depart Cairo. We will arrive Sharm El Sheikh, one of the most beautiful resorts on the Red Sea. The afternoon we will have a panoramic tour of Sharm.

Day 6 May 6, 2024 - All day in Sharm El Sheikh

Today, we will enjoy a peaceful and leisurely day as we spend all day at our beautiful resort.

Day 7 May 7, 2024 – Depart Sharm, Mount Sinai, St. Catherine Monastery, Taba

Early in the morning, we will depart Sharm to the foot of Mount Sinai. For those who are interested to go up the mountain, pleae advise the tour guide. Down to St. Catherine Monastery, built in the 6th century to protect what was believed to be the “Burning Bush”. Continue to Taba resort on the Red Sea for overnight.

Day 8 May 8, 2024 – Border Crossing into Israel, Dead Sea, Jericho, River Jordan, Nazareth

Today, we will cross the borders into Israel and stop at the Dead Sea to feel the salty waters. Then we drive to Jericho and visit the ancient ruins of Old Jericho and view the Mount of Temptation. Then, on to the River Jordan to renew our baptismal vows. We will then continue our drive up to Nazareth.

Day 9 May 9, 2024 - Nazareth, Cana, Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Mount Beatitudes

This morning, we will visit the village in which Jesus grew up and lived. We visit the house of the Holy Family. Then, we visit Joseph’s workshop and explore the magnificent Basilica of the Annunciation, Mary’s Well, and the Church of the Old Synagogue, which marks the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry. We will stop in Cana and visit the Church where Jesus performed His first public miracle at the wedding. We will have the opportunity to renew our wedding vows. Then to Tiberias and the sites around the Sea of Galilee: Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, and St. Peter’s Primacy. Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

Day 10 May 10, 2024 - Nazareth, Haifa, Mount Carmel, Caesarea, Old Jaffa

Today, we will visit Haifa and Mount Carmel to visit the Church of the Prophet Elijah. Then we make a stop in Caesarea where we take pictures at the aqueduct. Next, we will see Old Jaffa, the walled city to see the Church of St. Peter. On to Jerusalem or Bethlehem

Day 11 May 11, 2024 - Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Ein Karem, Bethlehem

Start with the Mount of Olives; Church of Pater Noster, the Chapel of Ascencion, down to Dominus Flevit and the Garden of Gethsemane. Then, on to Bethany to visit the church built on top of the house of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, Holy Manger, and then the Shepherds’ Field. On the way back to Jerusalem, we stop in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation.

Day 12 May 12, 2024 - Jerusalem, Old City, Way of the Cross, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Mount Zion and Upper Room

Early morning, we will transfer to the Old City to have our own procession of the “Way of the Cross” ending with Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. After Mass, we will return to our hotel for breakfast and later, we will begin our walking tour of the Old City by visiting the Church of St. Anne, the Pools of Bethesda, Ecce Homo and walk through the Cardo to the Wailing Wall. On Mount Zion, we will visit the Upper Room and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu.

Day 13 May 13, 2024 - Border Crossing into Jordan, Madaba, Mount Nebo, Dead Sea

Today, we will cross the border into Jordan. We drive to Madaba and visit St. George Church, home to a beautiful 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Then from the summit of Mount Nebo, we view the “Promised Land.” Continue to hotel at the Dead Sea, overnight.

Day 14 May 14, 2024 - Day trip to Petra

Petra, a Nabatean town, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Path to Petra, known as the “Siq”. Ahead of the Siq we see the dramatic view of the Treasury. We also see Byzantine Mosaics in the Byzantine church of Petra, the Hadrian Gate and Cardo, the great Temple of Petra, the Monastery (for those able to climb up the mountain), sandstone rock-cut tombs, obelisk, street facades and much more.

Day 15 May 15, 2024 - Return to New York

Depart on flight back home.
